MUSIC! We will begin the morning by gathering to sing, make music, and move our bodies together among the trees, under the sky, beside the mountain. This is an opportunity for your family to be in nature together, learn new songs and enjoy variations on old ones. Led by Derek Roguski, long-time musician & song-writer, father to a toddler, theater artist, and clinical social worker.
NATURE PLAY! After music, join your child(ren) as they explore and play in our forest playground (The Knoll), designed for children ages 18 months – 6 years (but all ages welcome). The rocks, sand, mud, leaves, trees, flowers, and logs welcome the children to explore, and to open their senses and their imaginations. You can join your children in their explorations, and also make friends of your own (with the trees or the other families). We will end with a short closing gratitude circle. Led by Lauren Elliott, mother and director/lead teacher at the Mountain’s Edge Nature & Play Preschool.
We will meet at our home at Easthampton, MA at the mountain’s edge on the ancestral and unceded land of the Nonotuck or Norwottuck people. Please see our land acknowledgment.
